Global climate action incubator Subak launches its Changemaking Programme to help organisations and individuals deliver lasting impact in climate action.
The Changemaking Programme brings together thought leaders, policymakers, media experts, organisational leaders and climate advocates to address the systemic challenges of climate action.
Through a unique blend of learning methods – talks, workshops, hackathons, office-hours and networking – participants will gain the skills and strategies needed to create lasting change within their organisations and communities.
The programme is open for applications from graduates, academics, post-graduates, private sector organisations, and not-for-profit climate activists and changemakers.
There will be four main pillars to the programme:
- Governments, Policy & Campaigning: Learn to navigate policy landscapes, advocate for change, and run impactful campaigns in the UK and globally.
- Data & Knowledge for Impact: Explore how open data, transparency, and AI can drive evidence-based decision-making and enhance climate action.
- Shifting Narratives: Master the art of storytelling through media, arts, and radical communication strategies to shape public discourse on climate issues.
- Regenerative Leadership & Organisational Change: Develop leadership skills that inspire and sustain systemic change within organisations and communities.
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to develop strategies for policy change and implement projects and solutions within organisations or communities.
Pranuthi Chander, Subak COO, said: “At Subak we believe transformational change happens when we embrace regenerative paradigms, viewing changes as interconnected, living networks – rather than isolated fragments.
“This perspective underpins our Changemaking Programme, where participants will explore how ideas take root, how influence spreads, and how deep collaboration fuels meaningful action. These programmes are a space to explore how we drive systemic change, not just organisational growth.”
Maisie Kemp, Changemaking Programmes Associate at Subak, said: “We’re so excited to be launching our pilot Changemaking Programme. The curriculum has been built on the collective wisdom and experience of our community of not-for-profits.
“We’re inviting a new cohort of climate changemakers to step into a different kind of learning experience. Through the combination of data, policy and shifting narratives – participants will not only gain skills, but transform the way they work.”
Applications for the Changemaking Programme will close on Monday 14th April, apply at https://www.subak.org/changemaking-programme
