Export growth for ERG Air Pollution Control

The award recognises the company’s growth in exporting engineered air pollution and odour control systems to industrial and infrastructure clients worldwide. According to ERG, its international work supports customers managing complex emissions and meeting environmental requirements, including at major wastewater treatment sites in the Middle East.

Hanson added: “Our international growth is built on understanding our customers’ challenges and engineering solutions they can depend on. We’re grateful to our colleagues, customers, suppliers and partners who have helped make this possible.”

Climate Global News has previously reported on ERG receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise following its international expansion.

Odour control technologies for hot climates

Over the past three years, ERG has invested in developing and proving its biotrickling filter and catalytic activated carbon technologies for use in hot climates. The company said these systems remove hydrogen sulphide and control odours.

According to ERG, the technologies help customers meet demanding treatment requirements while keeping operating costs low. Hydrogen sulphide is a common source of odour at wastewater treatment facilities, where it can be a focus of emissions control.

The company said the presentation also recognised the people behind that work. Their contribution ranges from developing treatment technologies to delivering projects and supporting customers internationally.

What the King’s Award means for the company

The King’s Awards for Enterprise acknowledge outstanding achievement by UK businesses. Awards are made in several categories, and ERG’s award is in International Trade.

The award allows ERG Air Pollution Control to use the King’s Awards emblem for five years.
