One Click LCA, the sustainability platform for construction and manufacturing, today announced the winners of the Low-Carbon Manufacturing Awards, recognizing leading manufacturers who are demonstrating a measurable commitment to reducing the environmental impact of construction materials and products.
The awards celebrate companies that implement effective decarbonization strategies, including the use of sustainable materials, process improvements, renewable energy, recycled waste materials, and extended product lifespans. Each of the winners has showcased significant potential to decarbonize their respective product category — either immediately with established solutions or within the next five years for new innovations.
Low-carbon excellence award
Category: Green Wood & Fiber Products
Winner: Tate
Product: RMG600+ Raised Access Floor Panel
Tate has been recognized for its exceptional commitment to sustainability in the green wood & fiber products category. The RMG600+ Raised Access Floor Panel exemplifies low-carbon innovation by incorporating over 90% recycled content, including 90%+ recycled steel produced with renewable energy via electric arc furnace. Compared to Tate’s standard offering, the RMG600+ achieves a 50% reduction in embodied carbon across life cycle stages A1–A3, significantly lowering the environmental impact of both the steel and the overall manufacturing process.
Category: Sustainable Metals & Alloys
Winner: Voestalpine Metsec
Product: Decarb Purlins and Framing (PD)
Voestalpine Metsec has been honored for its leadership in sustainable metals & alloys, advancing decarbonization in metal construction products. Voestalpine Metsec’s Decarb Purlins and Framing (PD) reduce embodied carbon through the use of steel sourced from electric arc furnace production, energy-efficient manufacturing powered partly by on-site solar, and zero waste-to-landfill practices. Certified under BES 6001 for responsible sourcing, the system also enables material efficiency via BIM-based design optimization.
Category: Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Solutions
Winner: Signify
Product: Philips Copenhagen LED Gen2
Signify has been recognized for its innovation in MEP solutions, contributing to the energy efficiency of lighting technology. The Philips Copenhagen LED Gen2 reduces its product-stage (A1–A3) carbon footprint by 28% — saving 25 kg CO₂e per unit — by using 88% bio-based polyethylene and 88% recycled aluminum. Manufactured with 77% renewable energy and ISO 50001/14001 compliance, it also features a design with replaceable and recyclable components to support circularity.
Recognizing industry leadership and innovation in decarbonization
Panu Pasanen, CEO & Founder of One Click LCA, says: “These awards highlight the industry leaders driving measurable change toward low-carbon manufacturing — whose products have significant decarbonization potential over the market norm. The transition to net-zero emissions depends on manufacturers taking decisive action to reduce embodied carbon. The winners of the Low-Carbon Manufacturing Awards represent the solutions needed to move the industry forward.”
The Low-Carbon Manufacturing Awards evaluated entries through a structured review process conducted by a jury of One Click LCA’s EPD and data experts. All applicants were assessed based on transparent criteria provided in advance. To be considered, entries had to demonstrate low-carbon strategies — such as the use of sustainable materials, process improvements, renewable energy, recycled inputs, or extended product lifespans — and show significant potential to decarbonize their product category, either immediately or within five years. Winners were selected based on their emissions reduction impact, scalability, and transformative potential for the sector.
